South Bend Blanked by Parker, 5-0 Monday, August 13th , 2063 In a seemingly effortless performance, Glen Parker of the Missouri Blues shot down the South Bend Proudest Monkeys, 5-0, on 4 hits. "Glen was just locating so well and using his pitches," Missouri manager Alberto Morín said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Parker recorded 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," South Bend manager Troy Gill said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." Thus far this season, Parker has tossed 157 innings in 23 starts, fanned 156 batters, walked 46 and put up a 3.73 ERA with 11 wins and 6 losses.
