5 Hits for Scorpions Ine Sunday, August 19th , 2063 There was no storybook ending. Arata Ine of the Death Valley Scorpions socked it to the visiting Los Cabos Corsairs with a terrific 5-hit game, but his team didn't get the win. The Scorpions fell, 5-4, at Father Serra Memorial Stadium. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Ine complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Death Valley manager Mike Campbell sympathized with his second baseman, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Arata played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Arata Ine singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 11th and singled in the 12th.
