The Cumberland Miners starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Silver Springs Tarpons and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Byram was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 14 months. This year, Byram has a 3-3 mark in 7 starts with a 3.86 ERA. He has given up 44 hits in 37.1 innings, struck out 26 and issued 4 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .288 batting average against him. |
