Alfredo Hernández, center fielder for the Charlottesville Marching Ants, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 2 hits in his club's 6-5 victory over the Kingston Kodiaks at Ant Hill.

"Not the outcome we wanted," Kingston manager Guillermo Morán said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment."
Alfredo Hernández grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Kujapa Vellanki in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

For the season, Hernández is hitting .379, batted in 39 runs with 11 home runs and 74 runs scored.
