Petru Marinus got his name recorded today, but the Oshawa Dodgers picked up the win at Mississauga Ballpark, topping the Mississauga Credits, 7-6. "He bushwhacked us," said winning manager Jesús Rodríguez. "We were lucky to come out ahead." Marinus, who is rated as the 14th best prospect by BNN, spoke to reporters in the clubhouse following the game, saying his nerves only set in once he was on the cusp of the milestone. "I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this could be a once-in-a-lifetime day," the center fielder said. "I think the coaches could tell I was going to be ready to swing at anything close. That's why my third base coach told me to calm down and wait for a good pitch. That got me back on track." Petru Marinus singled in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th, singled in the 14th, struck out in the 16th, singled in the 19th and flied out in the 20th.
