Graham Gets Award for Relief Work
Friday, September 22nd , 2062
At the age of 18, Pat Graham says he still has a lot to learn about life in Spike Nolan League.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Berkeley Golden Bears reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2062 Horizon League Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Westmont, Illinois native said.
For the season, Graham had 13 saves in 39 relief appearances, which totaled 63. He fanned 52 betters, while walking 5 and put up a record of 2-3 to go with his 1.29 ERA.
He received 32 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Héctor Hernández of the Roswell Aliens finished second in voting, while Fatih Kutaiba of the Cayucos Surf finished third.
