He was injured against the Bowling Green Corvettes while throwing a pitch. Because of a damaged elbow ligament, the Russellville reliever is expected to miss 9 months. Yamasaki was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
