Injury Sidelines Norberto Díaz for Season
Thursday, July 26th , 2063
The doctors have spoken and Norberto Díaz of the Oshawa Dodgers didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Díaz sustained his season-ending injury during the Bartlett Jazz game yesterday at The Shwa. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Oshawa medical staff reported Díaz had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months.
So far this season, Díaz has a 0-1 record, 8 starts, 41.2 innings, 24 strikeouts and a 4.75 ERA.
