Russellville-Assateague Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, August 2nd , 2064 If there wasn't a history between Vasan Reshma of Russellville and Gurusarana Chiba of Assateague, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Reshma said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." For the season, Reshma is batting .318 with 28 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 16 times and batted in 16. This year, Chiba has compiled a 0-0 mark with a 2.38 ERA. |
