Ducks Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, February 23rd , 2062 The mood in the Aflac Ducks clubhouse was noticeably subdued today, as the club's fate on the season was officially sealed -- they will miss the postseason. "We put ourselves in this position," said Ducks catcher Gustavo Méndez. "Nobody to blame but us." The Ducks have made the playoffs 18 times in their 65 years as a College Conference All-Stars franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2059. In the last 10 seasons, the Ducks have missed the playoffs 4 times. |
