Hawkins Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, July 22nd , 2061 Fernando Hawkins of the Santo Domingo Sea Turtles tagged 1 hit in today's 6-0 loss to the San Juan Music at Ballpark of San Juan to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Fernando Hawkins grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. At present, Hawkins is batting .294 and has collected 7 home runs, 20 RBIs, .343 OBP and scored 28 runs. |
