Casillas Bashes 5 Base Hits
Thursday, July 28th , 2061
It was a high-five day for Cristo Casillas, at least for a while.
The St. Kitts first baseman got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Caracas Sting, but they were in short supply at the end, as Caracas won the game, 6-4. Casillas finished with an impressive 5-for-5 line, but the Selects couldn't hold off the Sting.
"Cristo was hitting everything," said Selects manager Ron White. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion."
Cristo Casillas singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off John Greathouse in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Casillas is batting .304 with 38 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 19 runs and scored 14 times.
