Hastings Eliminated from Playoff Contention Monday, August 15th , 2061 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Hastings this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Hastings Haymakers today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Haymakers manager Vicente Pérez, "but it never gets fun." This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2054. In total, the Haymakers have missed the playoffs 36 times in their 46-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Haymakers have missed the playoffs 5 times.
