No Late-Season Magic Coming: Caracas Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 20th , 2062 Members of the Caracas Sting are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said third baseman Matt Stoner. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." This is the club's 11th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2051. In total, the Sting have missed the playoffs 33 times in their 47-year history. Caracas last won the Supremacy Series in 2028. |
