Tortuga Sits Atop Sub League 2 Big Islands Sunday, August 20th , 2062 While it remains to be seen what the playoffs will bring for the Tortuga Tides, the club took the first step by clinching the Sub League 2 Big Islands title. "It's exactly where we wanted to be and where we talked about being during spring training," said starting pitcher Bill Cooper. "There's not a guy in the room that doesn't believe in this team. We're all pulling in the same direction right now." It was the team's 6th division title and they will attempt to capture the franchise's 1st Angela Drake League championship. "The end goal hasn't changed - win the Supremacy Series," said manager Ramiro Estrada. "We think we've got the team to do it." |
