Abales Grabs SL2 Reliever of the Year Award Tuesday, September 19th , 2062 Félix Abales was a calming influence out of the Kingston Legends bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 17-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Sub League 2 Reliever of the Year Award for 2062. The Oak Lawn, Illinois native won the award with 18 saves in 27 relief appearances, 26 strikeouts in 29.1 innings and a record of 1-0 to go with his 0.61 ERA. He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 32. Brant Wingert of the San Angelo Missions finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Pete Burton of the Havana Cigars finished third.
