San Angelo Stymied by Araújo Sunday, August 17th , 2064 Pablo Araújo of the Cat Island Pirates was on top of his game. The 20-year-old tantalized the San Angelo Missions with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest, shutting them out, 6-0. "He had the changeup working," San Angelo manager Juan Tejeda said in postgame comments. "You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower." The Cat Island hurler had 7 strikeouts, gave up no walks and surrendered 1 hit in his complete-game effort. Araújo told reporters after the game that "keeping the ball down is the key to being successful in this league." "If you don't do that, they'll make you pay," he said.
