London Deals Asim to Sao Paulo for Sparks Monday, May 15th , 2062 Earlier today, officials from the London Monarchs and the Sao Paulo Pilots announced that they had finalized negotiations on a trade between the two teams. The deal will send 29-year old RHP Joe MacLeod, 31-year old LHP Luca Maundrell, 35-year old RHP Morton Gorski, 32-year old RF Anurodha Nayar, 27-year old LF Özkan Toprak, 30-year old 2B Bernie Mulholland, 31-year old minor league RHP Tommy Boele, 22-year old minor league RHP Nathan Elgey, 29-year old LF Amin Asim, 30-year old RHP Abdul-Muhaimin Saleem, and $2,250,000 in cash to Sao Paulo in exchange for 36-year old RF Júlio García, 33-year old LF Jin-soo Chong, 29-year old LF Fernando López, 35-year old LHP Boulos Naim, 28-year old LHP Herb Day, 34-year old RHP Will Griffin, 22-year old minor league 2B Daniel Sparks, 28-year old minor league RHP José Arredondo, 22-year old minor league C Hayden Simpson, and 35-year old C Juan Romano. London will retain a portion of MacLeod's remaining contract. London will retain a portion of Maundrell's remaining contract. London will retain a portion of Gorski's remaining contract. London will retain a portion of Nayar's remaining contract. London will retain a portion of Toprak's remaining contract. In 38 games this season, Asim is batting .300 with 48 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 26 runs and driven in 23. |
