Crutcher GBC's #1 Pitcher in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2062 In July when Athens Fighting Centaurs reliever Edward Crutcher was beckoned in from the bullpen, it spelled "Relief" with a capital "R." He usually put a very quick end to any budding rallies. For his sensational mound work he was voted the Global Baseball Consortium Pitcher of the Month. The Athens reliever had no saves for the month with a 6-1 record and 3.27 ERA. He made 14 relief appearances, hurled 33 innings, yielded 29 hits, fanned 22 and walked 5. In 40 relief appearances this season, Crutcher has no saves. He has 14 wins and 4 losses, 3.75 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 86.1 innings. |
