Quittin' Time: Ayala Retires Wednesday, April 11th , 2063 Ramón Ayala said he's looking forward to getting home to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to relax and unwind. At age 38, the Johannesburg Gold player has announced he will retire at the end of the season. "I'm thankful for my time in Global Baseball Consortium, but all good things must come to an end," he said. On his career ledger Ayala has a 3-4 mark, 59 appearances, 5 saves and a 5.13 ERA.
