Week's Premier Performer Honored by GBC EA Monday, July 2nd , 2063 In the twilight of his career, 36-year-old Justin Bonfield of Moscow recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the GBC EurAsia Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Bonfield told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Bonfield outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs, and 13 RBIs to stake his claim to the award. Bonfield is hitting .266 this year with 12 home runs, 36 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 63 hits in 237 at-bats, 32 walks and a .355 on-base percentage. Bonfield has played in 67 games. |
