 | Yungho 2044 World Series Champions Saturday, October 8th, 2044 A celebratory mood filled the air as the Yungho Frenzy closed out the season with a 6-2 victory over the Bangkok Avengers at Astronauts Ballpark to capture the World Series, 4-3. Giving the Avengers credit for a hard-fought series, Frenzy players said they believed throughout the postseason that their "destiny" was to be crowned Far East Baseball League champions. "We felt like this was our year all season long," said first baseman Steven Valentín, who was named series MVP. "It was our destiny to win it and we did." It was the 1st in franchise history. During the Division 1 regular season Yungho put up a 92-48 record and finished second. "They're the champions and they deserve it," said a dejected Bangkok manager Daud Qadir.
