SABL Awards Most Valuable Player Award, Shen Gets Prize Thursday, September 28th , 2062 He may have less experience than most of his South America Baseball League peers, but that didn't slow Eng-hee Shen down at all in 2062. At the age of 24, the Porto Alegre left fielder has been named the winner of the South America Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award. He had a .305 batting average and a .363 on-base percentage this year. In 84 games he piled up 105 hits, 18 doubles, 11 triples, 14 home runs, 58 RBIs and 63 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pablo Gamboa of the Lima Reyes finished second in voting, while Yasin Abdul-Rashid of the Belo Horizonte Tenentes finished third.
