SABL Star of the Week Honored Monday, May 7th , 2063 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Porto Alegre first baseman Jesús García. He went on a rampage last week against SABL hurlers and rapped out 15 hits in 31 at-bats for a .484 average while hitting 5 home runs, driving in 12 runs and scoring 8 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the South America Baseball League Player of the Week trophy. García was honored today at a press conference. This season, García is batting .323 with 40 hits, 11 home runs, 26 RBIs, .421 OBP and has scored 19 runs. |
