 | Freitas Picked SL Player of the Week Monday, August 8th, 2044 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Guangzhao first baseman Juan Freitas. He went on a rampage last week against SL hurlers and rapped out 10 hits in 26 at-bats for a .385 average while hitting 3 home runs, driving in 10 runs and scoring 9 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Southern League Player of the Week trophy. Freitas was honored today at a press conference. So far this season Freitas has 14 home runs and a .325 batting average. |   |
