 | Burton 5-for-5 Against Pompano Beach Monday, December 8th, 2042 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Orlando's 10-7 win over Pompano Beach today, second baseman Raymond Burton was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Minute Maid Park.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Burton said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Raymond Burton singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and doubled in the 8th.
This season Burton is batting .329 with 27 hits, no home runs, 8 RBIs, .360 OBP and has scored 12 runs.
