Lake has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Florida Prospect League Most Valuable Player.
"I didn't expect to hit .387 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.
The Tallahassee Gamblers star also put up a .492 on-base percentage this year, with 41 hits, 3 doubles, 4 triples, 15 home runs, 43 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 32. Bill Burke of the Palm Bay Aviators finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Virginia Rain of the St. Augustine Wolves finished third.
