Hebrew Hammers Top Fighting Centaurs in Extras, 4-2
|
The Athens Fighting Centaurs went down to defeat to Paris Zervakos and his Jerusalem teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Hebrew Hammers. The winner was Jerusalem reliever Paul Cherry, now 2-2. The loser was Jim Achbar. The Fighting Centaurs drop to 8-16, as their fitful start to the 2062 campaign continues.
Joram Blonke, who is a two-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Blonke contributed a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put Jerusalem up, 4-2.
"We had a good game plan," Zervakos said, "and we were able to execute it."
