Riding the 3-hit performance of the three-time All-Star Mynorli Gaajlimitz, the Portland Lumberjacks stopped the Sacramento Mad Popes, 17-0. Victor King earned the win to go to 5-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work. With the win, the Lumberjacks hiked their record to 83-65.

With Portland leading 11-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Gaajlimitz came up to bat against Sacramento pitcher Rafael Taboada. Gaajlimitz hit a circle change to right for a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Lumberjacks on top, 14-0.

Lumberjacks manager Mons Raider had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
