Land O' Lakes Ballpark played host to some high drama.

Despite a great performance by Nashville first baseman Fernando Sánchez, the Twin Cities River Monsters defeated the Bluebirds by the score of 5-4 in 10 innings at Land O' Lakes Ballpark. Sánchez was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win belonged to Ángelo Rodríguez in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Giustino Modica took the loss for Nashville.

The River Monsters got a clutch hit from designated hitter Mathew Malone. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the River Monsters.

Malone attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."

Twin Cities sits in second place in the Frick League Heartland Division at 85-66.
