6-for-7 Day for Sánz
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 6-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Alfredo Sánz, it came around today.

The 14-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Ballpark of Lindstrom HS to pace the 17-13 Pillsbury Doughboys victory over the John Deere Mean Green.

John Deere skipper Roberto Molina told reporters in the press room that "Sánz deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Sánz hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Alfredo Sánz singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Martín Butz in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 10th, walked in the 11th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Luis García in the 12th.

This season, Sánz has banged out 18 hits in 42 at-bats for a .429 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .600 pace and his totals also include 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
