Suva Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game
When the entire season comes down to one game, Teao Hiu said you find out what a team is really about.

As it turns out, the Suva Desperados are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Weno Crush 11-8 tonight at Ashdod HS Fields in order to win the Round 1 and book a place in the next round.

"It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Hiu, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about."

Hiu hit .312 with a .371 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Suva Desperados will play against the Sydney Devil Bears in the next round. Sydney won their series against the Majuro Bruins 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
