Blast Off! 3 HR for Le

Brisbane catcher Yat-sen Le blasted three homers at The Beacon in the 15-5 Beacons victory over the Wellington Water Wolves.
For the game, Yat-sen Le scored 4 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Le when he reached home plate.
"It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-3, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Le told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day."
Yat-sen Le hit a GRAND SLAM off Kent Warwick in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Le is batting .386 this season in 18 games with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 70 at-bats.

Suva-Weno Fight Results in Suspensions
Thursday, January 25th , 2063
Kalea Moritiica of the Suva Desperados and Laupupuni Barwon of the Weno Crush will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 7 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Desperados-Crush game at Crush Ballpark.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Moritiica and Barwon will begin serving them soon.
So far this season, Moritiica is batting .314 with 1 home run.
In the current season in 5 starts, Laupupuni Barwon has a record of 2-1 with 20 strikeouts in 24.1 innings and a 6.29 ERA.

Thwaites 5-for-8 for Auckland

Randall Thwaites of the Auckland Warriors outhit everybody on the field at São Paulo HS Grounds, but it was all for naught. Even as Thwaites personally tore up the Melbourne Ports with a 5-for-8 day, the Ports were sending his Warriors down to defeat, 12-11.
Randall Thwaites singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, flied out in the 7th, flied out in the 10th and singled in the 13th.
Currently Thwaites has 10 home runs and a .346 batting average.
