McCutchen Raps Union Pacific for 5 Hits
Henry McCutchen put on a hitting clinic as the Goodyear Tire dumped the Union Pacific Flyers, 13-12, at Champions Stadium.

The Goodyear right fielder made Union Pacific defenders earn their pay, lashing Union Pacific pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," McCutchen said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Henry McCutchen singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.

This season, McCutchen is swinging the bat at a .223 rate with 21 hits in 94 at-bats. To date he has hit no home runs, scored 19 runs and driven in 16.
