The San Fernando Bears defeated the Louisville Sluggers, 5-4, at Kentucky Truck Plant Stadium. San Fernando left fielder Chris Hall had a superb performance. He was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bryan Longstaff earned his 21st save, after closing out the game. The 4th-place Sluggers have lost 4 consecutive games.

Had Hall not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Hall hit a run-scoring single. The Bears took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Hall said.
