Abdul-Salam bin Tawfiq of the Pago Pago Chiefs put on a pitching clinic at Seagulls Ballpark, as he struck out 16 Wellington Water Wolves in a 8-0 victory. bin Tawfiq, who is tied for 5th in the SL2 in innings pitched with 42.0, was simply magnificent, holding the Water Wolves to 3 hits. "I felt okay at the beginning," bin Tawfiq said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."

When asked about bin Tawfiq's performance, Chiefs manager José Navarro shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
