The excitement in Perth is palpable as the local club has advanced through the Round 2.

The Perth Galaxy downed the Tonga Killers 12-5 tonight at Ankara HS Grounds, to take the series 4-1.

"Things are going to get crazy in Perth for the Round 3. The fans are going to be behind us 100 percent, we know that," said Calvin Thurgood, who earned MVP honors.

"There's a lot of motivation in our clubhouse right now to make sure we give them something to cheer about."

For the series, Thurgood hit .316 with a .458 on-base percentage. He had 6 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 9 runs.

The Perth Galaxy don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Majuro Bruins - Tarawa Sun Kings series. Majuro leads the series 3 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
