Butchers Prevail, as Interior Series Goes to the Wire
The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat were on full display tonight at Butcher Block as the Interior Series stretched to the final game.

It was the Saint Joseph Butchers feeling the thrill of victory, with a 6-5 win over the Trenton Generals, who were feeling the devastation of coming up short in their quest to make the Series of Accountability.

"There's no way around it -- this sucks," said Trenton manager Ramón Negrón. "Congratulations to Saint Joseph, but I won't sugarcoat it, no one is happy about anything that transpired here tonight."

Instrumental in the 2-1 series win was center fielder André Noël, who was named MVP. He hit .667 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.

"We've got the most important stat of all and that's this final win -- that's the one that matters," he said.

The Saint Joseph Butchers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Winston-Salem Warthogs - Anderson Average Joes series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Series of Accountability is scheduled to begin on September 7th , 2063.
