Bolling Raps Corpus Christi for 5 Hits
|
The Reno Aces stopped the Corpus Christi Crawfish by a score of 17-0 at The Railroad Station, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Alex Bolling. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Bolling said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Bolling did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Crawfish.
"Not much that I can say," offered Corpus Christi manager Bob Hansen. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Alex Bolling hit a three-run home run off Chad Hower in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
For the year, Bolling is batting .245 with 27 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 16 times and driven in 15.
