Velásquez Holds Reno Scoreless
The Reno Aces struggled at the plate against Spartans hurler Paco Velásquez, who shackled them on 4 hits while hurling a complete-game 3-0 shutout.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Aces skipper Damek Korbel in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."

Velásquez finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.

"He pitched real well," Santa Cruz manager Juan Betancourt said. "Paco made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
