Austin pitcher António Báldez did his part in helping his team defeat the Rocky Mountain Oysters, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The Shredders, at 20-13, lead by one game in their division.

Luis Rúbio had a big run-scoring triple for the Shredders in the bottom of the second inning. With Austin leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Ken Steele and swatted a triple to right. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shredders ahead, 3-1.

"We've got a great group of guys," Rúbio said, "and we're having fun right now."
