Cavaliers Pitching Ravaged by Milton
|
Tulsa Ginzels center fielder Gilbert Milton had a day to remember at Carson Park, ripping apart the Eau Claire Cavaliers and sparking the 12-6 Ginzels win.
Milton wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Milton told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Gilbert Milton singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
