Ablett Rips Mankato for 6 Hits
|
Getting 6 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Ocala's 10-7 win over Mankato, center fielder Clive Ablett was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Mankato Park.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Ablett said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Clive Ablett doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 10th and hit a two-run home run off Kyu-jin Pak in the 13th.
Ablett is hitting .254 this year with 12 home runs and 75 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .302, 30 walks and scored 52 times.
