The Sacramento Mad Popes spoiled a good performance by Portland first baseman Graeme Odhieng, bumping off Portland, 6-5, at The Trail in Multnomah. Odhieng was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. Jeff Locke, who finished 5th in the FL in saves with 28 in 2060, earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. The first-place Mad Popes now have a win-loss record of 24-14.

Callum Browne helped out the Sacramento cause in the top of the ninth inning with a solo home run. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1 with a home run.
