Palácios Cracks 6 Hits
After a 6-hit effort to lead Pfizer's 19-2 victory over the A2O Contracting, shortstop Pepe Palácios told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the High School All-Star Teams-level is really something special."

The 15-year-old player earned his accolades at Mutiny Ballpark with a spectacular 6-for-7 game against the Contracting.

"His swing is getting there," said Blues skipper Kurt Ginley, who spoke glowingly of Palácios after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Pepe did that to perfection."

Pepe Palácios hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Roman Kunte in the 5th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
