Super Swinger -- Kitakawa Slams 5 Hits
|
US Robotics first baseman Naosuke Kitakawa had a big day at Field of the Hammer against the Berkshire Hathaway Wolves. The 16-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 16-5 Hackers triumph over Berkshire Hathaway.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Kitakawa said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Naosuke Kitakawa singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
So far this season, Kitakawa has put up a .391 batting average with 9 hits, no home runs and 3 RBIs.
