Great Day for Halme -- 5 Hits
|
Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Shell Oil Royals catcher Veiko Halme, who missed the team's pre-game session but peppered the visiting General Electric Capitals for 5 hits come game time. The Royals went on to take the 13-1 win.
"I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often."
