Foret 5-for-5 Against Capitals
|
Hot Shots left fielder Phil Foret had his way with General Electric pitching at Ballpark of Huntington Beach HS and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Capitals ruined his great day by toppling the Hot Shots, 8-7.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give General Electric credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Foret did today," Capitals skipper Daniel Carrara said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Phil Foret singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
So far this season, Foret is hitting .529 with no home runs.
