Castro Batters Harley Davidson Big Time
|
Jesús Castro was unstoppable, but the Dr. Pepper Surg were not.
Despite his hitting heroics at Silvertips Ballpark, the Surg lost, 11-10, to the Harley Davidson Rebels. Castro battered Harley Davidson for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.
Castro just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits."
Jesús Castro singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Júlio Valdés in the 8th, hit a two-run home run off Dan Louis in the 9th, hit a solo-shot off Armando Padilla in the 12th and grounded out in the 14th.
To date, Castro has collected 46 hits for a .319 average. He has posted 27 home runs, scored 48 runs and driven in 62 runs.
