Oysters Get Past Mexico City for 11-10 Win
The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

The Rocky Mountain Oysters beat the Mexico City Aztecs, 11-10, at Smashburger Field. Rocky Mountain catcher Ed Henderson banged out 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. Joe Shaw was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Sergio Tormes.

The Oysters were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when former first round draft pick Jorge Gómez landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch curveball from Sergio Tormes into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Smashburger Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Oysters home with a thrilling 11-10 win.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Henderson.

The 5th-place Oysters lifted their record to 59-69.
