Martínez Belts Bunch of Base Hits
It was a hits blitz for Augusto Martínez at Topeka Park.

The Boulder Crush second baseman tore into the Topeka ThunderBears for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The ThunderBears swept past the Crush, 7-4, to ruin Martínez's day.

"We weren't locating our pitches well," Boulder manager Félix Hernández explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Augusto was nice but it wasn't enough."
